The NSW Catholic Block Grant Authority

Our purpose is to facilitate the allocation and management of grants aimed at improving the infrastructure and educational facilities in NSW Catholic schools.

The Catholic Block Grant Authority (CBGA) holds the fundamental role of administering both the Australian Government’s Capital Grants Program and the New South Wales Government’s Building Grants Assistance Scheme for Catholic schools in NSW.

Month Application Process
Early December Application round announcement – an email from the CBGA will be sent inviting applicants to submit an Expression of Interest.
Mid-January Application round announcement reminder – an email from the CBGA will be sent inviting applicants to submit an Expression of Interest.
26 February 2024 Expression of Interest to be submitted to: cbga@csnsw.catholic.edu.au.
29 April 2024

Application data is required to be submitted.

Main round – inventory and drawings for existing and proposed facilities. 

Supplementary round – inventory and drawings for existing facilities. 

All applicants should include mandatory documentation in support of their application. 

30 September 2024

Main round 

Submission of recommended main round applications to the Australian and NSW Minister of Education for approval. 

4 October 2024

Supplementary round  

All applications in the supplementary round are to submit proposed inventory and drawings for a desktop review. 

31 March 2025

Supplementary round 

Submission of recommended supplementary round applications to the NSW Minister of Education for approval.
