Sporting Opportunities

We offer a wide range of sporting opportunities for students of all abilities, teachers and schools.

Our programs are designed to promote athletic excellence, teamwork and inclusive participation across various sports – all while living the Catholic ethos.

For students

Students can explore diverse representative sporting pathways in: 

  • Athletics
  • Australian Football
  • Aquathlon (holiday program only)
  • Baseball (secondary only)
  • Basketball
  • Bowls (secondary only)
  • Canoeing (secondary only)
  • Cricket
  • Cross Country
  • Diving
  • Football (soccer)
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Netball
  • Rowing (secondary only)
  • Rugby
  • Rugby League
  • Sailing (secondary only)
  • Softball
  • Swimming
  • Squash (secondary only)
  • Tennis
  • Touch Football
  • Triathlon (secondary only)
  • Volleyball (secondary only)
  • Water Polo (secondary only).

These sports follow pathways leading from school, progressing to: 

  • Diocesan levels
  • NSWCCC or MacKillop/Polding
  • NSW All Schools or NSWPSSA and School Sport Australia (SSA).

We also host school-based competitions where students can compete in gala days throughout the year.

For students with disabilities

We are committed to inclusive sporting opportunities for students with disabilities through specific Multi-Class events in:

  • Athletics
  • Swimming
  • Cross Country
  • Aquathlon
  • Triathlon (secondary only)
  • Sailing (secondary only).

Athletes with a current, eligible classification can compete equitably by comparing performances to world records or set standards.

For teachers

Teachers can get involved in various sports roles, such as: 

  • team manager
  • coach
  • trainer
  • event official
  • convenor for selected sports.

Selected teachers will travel with MacKillop, Polding, and NSWCCC teams to support their success at NSWPSSA and NSW All Schools events.

Opportunities are also available at state and national levels with: 

  • NSWPSSA
  • NSW All Schools
  • School Sport Australia (SSA).

For schools

We offer school-based competitions fostering teamwork and sportsmanship in: 

  • Basketball (secondary only)  
  • Cricket (secondary only) 
  • Football (secondary only) 
  • Hockey (secondary only) 
  • Netball 
  • Rugby 
  • Water Polo (secondary only) 
  • Golf (primary only).

Schools can register teams to compete at gala days and championships, aiming to be crowned NSWCCC and/or NSWCPS champions.
