Australian Curriculum

The Australian Curriculum is a national framework designed to ensure that all students in Australia receive a consistent and high-quality education, regardless of where they live or which school they attend.

It sets out the core knowledge, understanding, skills, and general capabilities that are important for all Australian students.

The curriculum is developed by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

NSW ‘adopts and adapts’ the Australian Curriculum to inform the development of the mandatory NSW syllabuses.
