About CSSA

The CSSA is a subdivision of CSNSW.

It has a long history of producing Trial Higher School Certificate Examinations for schools in NSW and internationally.

Formerly an arm of the Catholic Secondary Schools Association, the governance and operations of the CSSA transitioned into CSNSW in 2020.

  • The CSSA produces quality Trial HSC Examinations as assessment tasks for 47 HSC courses.
  • Over 580 schools across the three education sectors are registered with the CSSA. This includes Catholic, government, independent and international schools.
  • The CSSA Trial HSC Examinations provide Year 12 students with a valuable formal assessment experience and practice for the NSW HSC later in the school year.
  • Highly qualified HSC teachers, university lecturers and educational consultants create The CSSA Trial HSC Examinations.
